Mauri Bernstein has spent most of her life performing all over stage and screen as an actor.
Specializing in comedy, she has played almost every flavor of neurotic human.
She has created variations of the role of "nerd girl" numerous times
for various television programs, from Doogie Howser M.D.to HBO's Sessions.
She has trained at Interlochen, Circle in the Square, New York University, The Acting Studio in New York,
Sam Christensen Studio, and the Creative Actor’s Workshop with Scott-Arthur Allen
where she eventually taught and coached.
Recent highlights include her PBS television appearances on Jakers!
Mauri is proud to have worked for the talented and award-winning Trey Stokes and his Truly Dangerous Productions.
There, Mauri has starred in By the Seat of My Pants as last night's date-from-Hell
and played a loud-mouthed, cut-throat entertainment attorney in Duck, Duck, Goose.
A high-energy performer with a history of longevity, Mauri has performed in four shows at Sacred Fools Theatre,
(Feet,Crime Scene, Fast & Loose, and The Mechanical Rabbit.)
For eleven years, Mauri also performed as an improviser at ComedySportz Los Angeles.
In contrast, Mauri's scene was cut from the infamous film, Bonfire of the Vanities.
Other improv and live sketch comedy includes GOOF, Wasteland Comedy Company
and the Search Party.
She’s also done dozens of commercials from Standard Oil to the California Cheese Board.
You can catch her soon in the upcoming feature films, Repo and Uncross the Stars.

"Their formulas congeal at the Los Angeles Music and Ego competition, which provides "Lame's" most surreal laughs. The unhinged cast exploits the title ethic through deliberately execrable songs and choreographers Evita Arce and Jenny Powazek's pseudo-Jeffrey Hornaday spasms, to cackling effect... And the howling, femme-to-femme turns by Mauri Bernstein and Jenny Powazek carry all before them." Los Angeles Times
"The chemistry between Smith's cow and Bernstein's chipmunk makes for great comedy." -- Jana J. Monji LA TIMES
